Ozzy

Ozzy: the cooking app that starts with your fridge, not a recipe

Every recipe app has the same blind spot. You want to know what to make for dinner, and it shows you a beautiful braised short rib that needs eleven ingredients, nine of which you don't have. So you close it and eat cereal, while the peppers you bought on Sunday quietly go soft in the drawer.

Ozzy knows what you have. Show him your shelf, and he tells you what to cook tonight, from what's already in there.

Point the camera. That's the whole setup.

Open Ozzy, hit Scan, and take a photo of your fridge.

He reads it properly, shelf by shelf, top to bottom, left to right. He reads the labels, even half-turned ones. He identifies things by shape and packaging when there's no label to read. He notices the yogurt tucked behind the milk. He merges the two pots into one line so your pantry doesn't fill up with duplicates.

Then he tells you what he couldn't see and where to look next: door shelves, crisper drawer, freezer. Two more photos and Ozzy knows your whole kitchen.

He knows what's about to go

Every ingredient gets an expiry read. Fresh produce, raw meat, opened dairy, leftovers. They get flagged as going soon. Sealed cartons, whole eggs, condiments, canned goods: fine for now.

That's why the first thing on your home screen isn't a search bar. It's "3 things expiring soon." Ozzy's default suggestion is always the meal that saves the food you already paid for, while using whats fresh

Recipes you can actually make right now

This is the part Ozzy is strict about, and it's the reason he's worth using.

Every recipe he suggests has to be genuinely achievable with what's in your pantry. Main ingredients must actually be on your shelf. The only things he'll assume are true staples like salt, oil, garlic, and flour. He won't send you to the shop for a protein you don't own and call it a suggestion.

And when your fridge is too bare to build something good? He doesn't fake it. He asks: "Looks like I've got plenty of veggies to work with — do you have any protein around? Eggs, meat, canned beans, tofu?" One honest question beats three recipes you can't cook.

Tell him what you're craving

Sometimes you don't want to be told. Sometimes you want something specific and can't name it.

Chat with Ozzy and describe the mood — something warm, something fast, something that uses up the rice. He'll work it out with you. There's also a browse library of 100 curated recipes, searchable by cuisine, ingredient, or tag, for when you just want to scroll.

He learns your kitchen

A quick setup tells Ozzy your dietary rules, the cuisines you love, how much heat you can take, how many people you're feeding, and how long you're actually willing to stand at the stove on a Tuesday. Every suggestion after that is shaped by it.

Install it like an app, use it like an app

Ozzy is a PWA. Add him to your home screen on iOS or Android and he behaves like any other app — full screen, own icon, works offline.

No app store, no download, no account required. Tap "continue without account" and start scanning.

Ozzy is a tomato in a chef's hat who is very serious about your leftovers. Show him the shelf, and dinner is handled.
